EU Project Steering Committee meeting was held, of which Kastamonu Union of Local Authorities (KASMİB) is the final beneficiary.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of KASMİB President of Union, Governor Avni Çakır at the KASMİB Administration Center. EU delegation members Elif Ceyda Torcu Özden and Cenk Yılmazer, Ministry Project Coordinator Burak Yılmaz, Consultant representative Naci Çimen, the EU Project Commission members, Devrekani Mayor Engin Altıkulaç and Cide Mayor Mehmet Eşref Mutlu, KASMİB Union Manager Adnan Tot and technical personnel attended the meeting.

At the meeting held within the scope of KASMİB Integrated Solid Waste Management Project, where the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change is the program authority, information was given about the construction works, which is the first phase of the project and completed last year. In the presentation made, it was stated that the Leachate Water Treatment Facility, which was built in the Solid Waste Disposal Facility within the borders of Devrekani District, was delivered to KASMİB and put into operation, and the transportation and rehabilitation works of 15 old landfills throughout the province were completed.
